CorTemp
HQ Inc. has more than 15 years' experience in monitoring wide temperature ranges with wireless, low power temperature sensors in medical, military, sports physiology, agricultural and industrial applications.
In the late 1980’s, the Johns Hopkins University in collaboration with NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center developed the CorTemp™ core body temperature sensor technology. Introduced as the ingestible “thermometer pill”, the sensor was used to monitor deep internal core body temperature in astronauts to measure and relay hypothermic and hyperthermic conditions during space flight. Today, the CorTemp™ patented sensor technology has expanded into other markets and remains under the exclusive license to HQ Inc., located in Palmetto, Florida.
