LUNGS
Measurement of the air capacity of the lungs is monitored using Spirometers such as the Micro, Microplus & Microloop from Micro Medical, which measure FEV1, Relaxed VC, FVC, PEF, F50, MEF & more, depending on the model. Peak Expiratory Flow measures the cough force or the ability to forcefully exhale, after full inspiration, and monitoring can easily be done in the home with Peak Flow Meters such as those by Mini-Wright and In-Check. Inspiratory muscle strength can be monitored and improved with POWERbreathe Training – the drug-free, clinically proven inspiratory muscle trainer that uses resistance training to make your breathing muscles work harder.
