Bodyflow P2CH Portable Unit
Bodyflow® Therapy promotes the flow of body fluids such as blood and lymph by its ability to stimulate smooth muscle within veins, arteries and lymphatic vessels using a specific patented electro-stimulation frequency.
Smooth muscle also known as Tunica Media is a non-striated muscle that differs in function and structure to skeletal and cardiac muscle. Primarily under the control of the autonomic nervous system, smooth muscle is apparent through out all tubules of the body – in the walls of ‘hollow organs’, veins, arteries, lymphatic system, intestinal tracts, bladder etc. Where there is an excess of fluid, blood and toxins within or around tissue, Bodyflow® Therapy promotes drainage through stimulation of the arterial, venous and lymphatic systems thereby helping people to recover faster.
The treatment involves attaching to the appropriate part of the patient’s body a number of cups and/or electrodes which apply a mild transdermal (through skin) electrical stimulus.
Patients may experience a light tingling sensation, felt through the skin under the administered cup/electrode and a minor muscle twitch may occur indicating the stimulation effect.
The increased flow of blood and lymph is encouraged to the kidneys to be detoxified, filtered. This results in the toxins and by-products eventually being passed in the urine.

- Sports Recovery & Performance
Improve Sports Performance
Personal ownership of a portable device used in a proactive approach can greatly enhance sports performance. Similarly, a growing number of sporting teams are purchasing Bodyflow devices for each individual team player. The ideology being that one device per player allows that the entire team to gain a performance advantage when used as a proactive recovery tool. By only having a small number of devices would allow an effective reactive injury management tool, but ultimately miss out on the maximum desired benefit - Improved Sports Performance.
Pre Season Training
Getting back into training after an end of season break can often be difficult for professional athletes as they re-establish their peak physical conditioning. Bodyflow helps athletes to reduce soreness rapidly so they can get back on the track and train harder – faster.
Whilst Travelling – Reduce swelling and promote blood flow
Pre & Post competition periods when travelling such as flying, can result with athletes developing swelling or pooling around their lower limbs. This result would be far from an ideal pre competition preparation with the potential to stifle the athletes or a team’s performance. Our sporting customers are now trailing this proactive approach and the reported feedback suggest that performance could well be enhanced.
Bodyflow can be used in a proactive way to assist in the prevention of travel related Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) or Venous Thrombosis (VT)
During Competition
Professional football sporting organisations who have embraced the Bodyflow technology are now experimenting with usage during competition breaks (Half time) to decongest and refresh muscles. Feedback has been extremely positive from player case studies, suggesting a major impact on muscle cramp reduction and a freshening of their player’s legs to run out the game, at a higher intensity.
Bodyflow is currently working with European cycling teams and riders to expand on this application and investigate further the aim of attaining a performance enhancing advantage without the use of drugs. The Tour De France is a three week event and the ability to use Bodyflow Technology pre and post daily competition to decongest muscle could potentially give teams and riders the winning advantage.
Post Competition Recovery
Post competition By reducing DOMS and accelerating post competition and training recovery the athletes recover faster for next event/ match thereby maximising the opportunity for improved performance. Over the course of a season this cumulative effect of recovery translates to athletes feeling fresher and minimizing the mid to late season state of fatigue and fitness

Customer Reviews
- Bodyflow has become an accepted standard protocol with some of the Olympic athletes that I treat Review by Ian Horsley, Clinical Director, Back In Action Rehabilitation Ltd
- I have used Bodyflow consistently within my practice for the last year.
It has been extremely useful in the postoperative management of knee replacement surgery, expediting the removal of swelling and ,thus, improving pain and range of motion.
It has also been useful to reduce acute swelling following injury (and arthroscopy) to restore pain free function.
It has become an accepted standard protocol with some of the Olympic athletes that I treat, for the treatment of acute soft tissue injuries, and we are using it more to help enhance recovery following training and competition.
